Quaint Palatinate with reasonable prices!

The staff was friendly and attentive. Coffee, cake and ice cream were very good too. The Corona regulations have been implemented well. If it wasn't that far away we would go again.

Food wasn't good.

There was no soup advertised on a sign at the entrance. The (alternatively ordered) sandwich was unfortunately very careless. The quality is simply not good and far too expensive. We wouldn't come back even if the staff was really nice.

Very unfriendly landlady. If you also have respect for big dogs, you should avoid it here.

The Café Romantic lives up to its name. The Maultaschen with potato salad were very tasty and nicely presented. There was also beer and hot lemon. We were completely satisfied.

The best cappuccino, excellent cake selection, very nice cozy atmosphere. There is heart and soul in it.

The Spanish almond cake is perfect.

We can only recommend the gummy bear shop (Isabel). Food & service was very good, the cake was just delicious

Sorry that I say it like that but that's the rip-off par excellence. First they say that they have no card or only online. They are supposedly not allowed to. Weirdly all over town there are maps everywhere. All right, ordered a coffee, a hot chocolate and a piece of cake. Drinks were OK but the cake was a joke. That was half of a normal piece. I've rarely seen such a three-way quarrel. When I saw the bill, it knocked the bottom out of 17.30 euros for the three items. The mini piece of cake alone is 4.80 euros. This is pure rip-off. Something like that should be forbidden. One star is still too many. Actually I would give minus stars but unfortunately that doesn't work. So be warned about this rip-off and prefer to go somewhere else.

I can only recommend. We ate coffee and cake there which was delicious. Nice ambience and very nice staff. My wife and I will definitely come back there on our next visit to Heidelberg ????

Unfortunately, unfortunately we had an experience today with a really shameful rip-off. Heidelberg is really a beautiful city and we wanted to round off our trip with coffee and cake. So we followed the signs from this Cafe Romantik. Son ordered apple strudel and Kaba and I ordered coffee and a piece of meringue lemon cake. I saw this "as the last piece" in the cooling shelf and was really happy about it. Ultimately, when everything else was already at the table and I asked the waitress again for cake, the lady brought the kitchens. I was really amazed because it was a 2cm wide piece. It looked like half of the last piece. Immediately afterwards I spoke to the waitress and got a brief statement that it was a piece that was cut personally by the chef, and immediately afterwards turned the back. When paying, a completely different waitress came to us and when I saw the price of 4.90 euros for this item on account, I spoke to them too. However, I got the answer that she only works there. So after payment I asked for a short talk with the boss. But she sent the waitress with the statement "She has a lot to do. It doesn't get any sadder, so ripping off the guest is just poor and cheap in character. Dear Cafe Romantic Chef, I can cope with the 4.90 euros, but how do you cope with yours Image in the mirror. All I can say is "be ashamed of you" and give recommendations to all potential guests to bypass your cafe.

Were there spontaneously yesterday because we wanted a piece of cake. Homemade and fresh as it is advertised is nothing there. Because of the not so tasty-looking cake display, I only opted for a Coke. I had to swallow the bill ... 5.60 euros for a coffee ???? Are you serious ???? A visit is definitely not worth it !!!! Cheek ...

It was delicious, great service and nice cafe.

Very unfriendly manager of the restaurant, I can't recommend it under any circumstances. The food also fell far short of our expectations. And the bill was too high for that.

No thanks. I don't like the fact that they don't bring you a menu. Instead you have to scan a QR-Code. Why not both?

2.5 stars ... Well, it is not that romantic, dishes that are offered or on the menu and on the wall are not available and portions are relatively small and not at all special. Or are not in relation to the high prices. No lasagna and no quiche ...

Way too expensive. We had to wait forever to be addressed. Outside there wasn't so much going on despite the great weather. That's why it can't be because. We waited for the drinks again forever. Unfortunately we didn't like it either (matter of taste). The prices are too high. It's better to go to any other place. The waitress was, no idea, exposed to customers for the first time ???

Its a little and warmfull place, good to go with someone. They have a very good Hot Chocolate and an Äpfelstrudel.

Great place to visit in Heidelberg!

Very comfortable, cozy and ... Yes, romantic. The cake was excellent. The hostess with four-legged friends authentic. You want to sit right there.

Delicious Food, very good coffee and an amazing service!! I specially recomend the "Apfelstrudel" with icecream and the hot chocolate.

When I was here on my first visit, I sat down at the round table by the window. Was immediately pointed out by the lady behind the counter in an unfriendly tone that this table is only reserved for regular guests. It is hoped that these will be treated more kindly. Apparently you are not dependent on new customers here.

Nice location, but horrible service and extremely unfriendly owner. Place is understaft, so expect to wait a long time. Also they are stuck in the 90s, cash only.

A large selection of drinks and cakes are on offer in this cosy café restaurant. Decorated in a traditional German style. My favourite part was definitely the café's dog that wonders around - very cute and friendly!

Overpriced. Stale bread. Got charged €1 when we asked for butter for the bread. The chicken soup was broth! Cold sausages.

Once i went in I never thought of leaving which could v been a "bad idea"because i nearly spent all that i had on apple strudel"hmmm yummy" i was strongly and warmly welcomed besides i loved the smile on the staff and how polite and neat thy were and also their quick service

Expensive, low quality food...Don' waste your money...I complained, they "apologised" but they still charged full price!!!

Really nice restaurant, I had their Currywurst which was beyond amazing and a hot chocolate which I also enjoyed. It's comfortable, the staff is friendly and the price fit the goods. Definitely coming back!
